Woodend is made for weekends without too much of a plan. Wander beneath the trees, browse the village shops, settle in for a long lunch or a glass of local wine, then head a little further afield to explore the beauty of the Macedon Ranges.
From walking trails and country pubs to cellar doors, cafés and local favourites, there’s plenty to discover — and from Studio on Collier, much of Woodend is just a stroll away.
EAT AND DRINK

At the end of the street, you’ll find Holgates Brewhouse,Woodend Cellar and Wine Bar and Kuzu - Woodend’s acclaimed Japanese restaurant, everything you need to settle into your weekend getaway.
Just round the corner is High Street, where you’ll find various boutiques, café’s, along with the IGA and Coles supermarket. Visit The Victoria Hotel for good pub fare, or 600 Above Wine Bar and Josephine’s Wine Bar to taste local wines and food. There are also a range of good takeaway options if you feel like staying in.
Breakfast at Paysanne is a favorite or try Slow Coffee for great coffee and pastries on the run.
Trentham and Kyneton also has a great range of good restaurants just 15-20 minute drive away. Check out Midnight Starling in Kynton or Du Fermier Annie Smithers in Trentham for something special. Bookings are essential.
